Guest pascalganesh Report post Posted 01/17/2007 04:28 AM Hi, We are using the Eval. version of VG. Connected to a PABX, external call is answered by an operator and then call is transfered manually to VoiceGuide script. In the $RV_CIDNumber we only get the extension number from where the call got transferred Example 'C2000D'. When connected to a caller ID device, we are able to see the actuall caller's number. 1. How do we get the caller ID? 2. What is this prefix 'C' and suffix 'D' in the $RV_CIDNumber? Ganesh Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/17/2007 04:57 AM Are you using "VoiceGuide for Dialogic"? Share this post Link to post
Guest pascalganesh Report post Posted 01/18/2007 01:19 PM I am using the evaluation (Enterprise) version of Voice Guide. The sound card is a non-Dialogic card Ganesh Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/18/2007 07:28 PM Sounds like this system is not using "VoiceGuide for Dialogic". If you are using v5.x of VG then the received CallerID would be whatever the device's TAPI driver sends... so your only recourse is to ask the device/driver supplier why they supply this CallerID data... If you were using a Dialogic card you would have better acces to data sent and more flexibility in extracting it. Share this post Link to post
